What's New      You may notice the slight change of the name of the website. The first website went by the name "Twin Cities & Western Railroad Online." I have changed it to the Unofficial Twin Cities & Western Railroad Website. I did this to avoid confusion between this site and the official TC&W website for first time visitors.      If there are any viewing problems or if there is anything you would like to see added quickly, please let me know. December 22, 2006  Website is launched!     After a lot of hard work I am happy to release my second TC&W website. If you like the website please let me know. People's opinion of the website will be a huge factor in my decision to keep the website running because after all, I'm building it for you guys. Everything listed below was available on the launch.  News -     I've added the News page. This mostly contains future plans of the TC&W and MPL. Make sure you check it out, there are some doozies in there!  About the TC&W -     This page will some general information of the TC&W such as engines, operations, traffic, trackage etc. It will also have a brief history of the railroad. Click here  Photo Galleries -     If you remember the photo galleries from the first site, you might be disappointed ...at first. Since I dumped the first website, I switched to slide film since I didn't need them in digital format any more. So, all I have in the photo galleries are some of the better photos that were on the first website. Until I get a digital camera, the only photos that will probably be added will be contributor photos. I'm trying my best to get a good digital camera, but it might be quite a while.  System Map -     The system map page is available. Right now all that is there is the map itself. Soon I will add a detail list of all the stations/customers along the TC&W and MPL.  Rosters -     Right now only the TC&W roster is available. Soon I will add rosters for both the MPL and RRV&W. News A new customer comes     online in Glencoe. DPUs being used on BNSF     ethanol and coal trains The RaiRunner has finally     begun operations. The BNSF Power will now be     used on ethanol trains. The ILSX 1389 arrives     on the TC&W. BNSF power used to deliver     coal to Hopkins. RailMate, a RoadRailer type      technology tested between      Sacred Heart and Hopkins. HLCX GP38-2 moved from      Chaska and new pipe traffic      for a natural gas line. Update about the intermodel      runs into Shoreham. UP Power is used for the      first time on a DDG train.      Photos posted. New Power for the TC&W in      the form of a GP39-2 leased      from ILS (No. 1389). UP Power is to be used on      future DDG trains. RailRunner operations            began last month.
