It's a place where conversations erupt from lips like a burst of pepper spray.

Everything I ought not to have learned about poetry was in rec.arts.poems, yeeeeeeears ago!  

Report back to me if "potty-mouth" poems are still being written; it's that type of "poetry" that caused me to leave the newsgroup.   It ruined it for the more serious writers there that produced excellent poems, and believe me, there were very talented poets who contributed to the newsgroup yeeeeeeears ago.  Otherwise, if the quality has improved:
