Layout Diagram

This diagram represents my current layout, well except the dock area is not yet built, the track ends at the cross over of the mainline.  The green line cutting across the yard and river is a Kato via duct and through truss bridge.  Tunnels are shown as light gray lines in the green a the left hand side of the diagram. The town site is also undeveloped and may change.  I have lots and lots of buildings including about 20 DPM buildings to be built.  (Note to self:  learn to use that new air compressor I got last Christmas)

The grades are about 2.5% (1" climb in 40 inch run) The inner circles are a tad bit steeper.

Dockside Timesaver Idea

The hot pink is my effort to incorporate John Allan's Timesaver into the dockside area. If you are familiar with the Timesaver, what do you think?  If you have never heard of it go to: http://www.wymann.info/ShuntingPuzzles/Timesaver/timesaver-trackplan.html

The dockside extension added a 5 x 50" strip to the lower left side of the layout.  Now all I have to do is take five inchs off of my belly and I'll still be able to have my 20" reach.

Track plans were created using Atlas' RightTRACK software.  Sadly I lost my original .ral file for the main layout when I upgraded to a new PC.  I will just have to redo it when I settle on a dockside plan that works.

This is the closest shot I have to a complete over view.  Notice the print out of the layout design on the wall.
