Website Host

This web page is hosted at webng.com.  They offer 350 mb of storage, this whole website is just over 12 mb.  They also have goodies for referrals so if you want to name (fortkentdad) as your refer-er, go ahead, someday I might be able to use the extra webspace they offer for referrals.  I chose them because I wanted a website that; a) limited or no adverts cluttering up the page, b) easy to use and c) did not put lots of restrictions on scripts etc. because I did want a website counter.   So far so good with WebNG.

This is the website counter system I chose.  Again I wanted to avoid adverts. This one gets its revenue from ads that appear on the web page the website owner goes to to review the compiled stats.  So only I have to look at a Google ad banner (which I hardly noticed) at the top of a page of information, including graphs etc. about the traffic to this website.  It also allows you to share that with your users (which I did on home page at the bottom),  site visitors only get a glimpse of the depth of information available on StatCounter.  So far I'm very happy with this counter.

My Virtual Hangouts

You can frequently find me on line at Scalerail Online, as Fort Kent Dad, or FKD for short.

Trains.Com is sponsored by Model Railroader and that group of publishing companies.  It has a very deep website of interest to model railroaders (and they won't delete complaints about MRR).  I post sometimes in their forum.

Another Model Railroad user site, this one is all forums and photo gallery.  Lots and lots of links at this site too.

And finally, yet another MRR forum.  If you like on line communities; Model Railroaders sure make use of the Internet for that purpose.
