Phone Home
Why not phone home to God. Usually,
man thinks there is God or a Divine Mother that will
help him out in times of need, or grief and so we try to
phone home to God for the answer, the help, or even the
million dollars that we hope will soon come to us.
Now why bug yourself, have you
already tried to phone home? You may have. Maybe you
didn’t write Santa Claus a letter when you were a kid,
but you still got things for Christmas. Maybe like many,
when you were a kid, you told God something. So we are
kind of like that in this culture, that there is God and
we must therefore realize that God knows us and will
help us, or something magic.
Why not study Shamanism, and Magic
and so on, they may not even call upon God to solve
their problems. And yet these Shamans and Magic people
may get more than you. So we must phone home to God is
what it seems to many people, and yet the very way that
people phone home to God may be to do Shamanism or Magic
without even knowing it. See, I don’t know you, so you
might have to know how you did it, instead of me.
After all, did you kneel down in prayer position and ask
God for something in prayer. It is done in Church, "and
now we ask God for all these wise things" and so on.
The point is that some people must
phone home to God, no matter what, whether it works or
not. It is not even the thrill of the game. They feel or
believe that they must do this.
Yoga wants people to believe that
eventually through various practices you will merge with
the divine, or to put it many ways, you will find that
your little self is like Shiva, and Shiva is a God self,
or that you will become one with reality or God. These
are all possibly lies. Because if you
practice any Yoga one day at a time, and you did not
merge with God yet, which probably means you may never,
is more like it.
If you practice some Yoga and study
each day, you might improve your life without calling
God at all. You might even find some ways to love that
you did not know about. Perhaps you might call God,
perhaps you might not. See, that is more like what Yoga
is about. Perhaps you might not call God and do your
Yoga study and change your ideas that are part of this
culture about what God even is. It simply takes time to
do it this way. It still might be nice to realize you
are God right now, without realizing more of it or
finding more of God or you. That way you can be you, and
say well maybe I have something happy even today. So
that you don’t have to search ever again.
Phone home to God is still a part and parcel
of man.
If you wonder who done it, I done it.
Once upon a time there was a tree.
Someone phoned home to God to cut it down.
That was two thousand years ago.
God invented forest rangers
To make sure the right trees were cut down.
God is slow sometimes,
But does a good job.
So when you phone home to God,
You phone home to God.
Later, much later,
There will be an answer. |
