Noeline: So why did'nt you kill the bitch, now she'll be gunning after us for sure."

Reb: "Yeah, don't I know it, I just could'nt bring myself to do it ok, I stuffed up big time lets just leave it at that ok."

Harold is at home, he goes over to the telephone and dials a number, a woman's voice answers :"Hello."

Harold: "Good evening, may I please speak to Ann Reynolds."

Ann: "This is Ann Reynolds speaking."

Harold: "Hello Mrs Reynolds, this is Harold Freeman, governor of Blackmoor Detention Centre, would it be possible for us to meet sometime in the next couple of days, there's something really important, I'd like to discuss with you, It's about a certain officer you have working for you, a Joan Ferguson"

Ann: "What about Joan Ferguson.?"

Harold: "Lets just say it's got something to do with Rebecca Kean who was recently transferred to Blackmoor, My daughter Katherine who happens to be the social worker at Blackmoor has spoken to Reb Kean about what happened at Wentworth, Katherine is a very intuaitive person and what concerns me the most is that I also happen to believe Kean's story to be true, also there is another alarming discovery I have recently made that I'd like to discuss in more detail with you."

Ann: "I think we should certainly discuss this matter in person, I won't be able to make it tomorrow unfortunately, however what about the day after, say sometime in the evening after 19h00"

Harold: "That fine with me Mrs Reynolds, where would you like to meet, I think I'll let Katherine come as well."

Ann: "At the Hilton, do you know where it is."

Harold: "Yes, will see you at 19h00 the day after tomorrow."

Ann: "Thanks Mr Freeman, I look forward to meeting you and Katherine."

Harold: "Goodbye Mrs Reynolds, you take care now."

Ann: "You too Mr Freeman and thank you for getting in touch with me, Goodbye."

Harold hangs up the phone, just then Katherine comes into the lounge

Katherine: "Hi Dad, how was your day, did you manage to get in touch with Ann Reynolds yet."

Harold: "Yes I sure did and she's very interested to meet with both of us the day after tomorrow."

Katherine: "I must have a chat with Reb sometime tomorrow, to see if she can give us some conclusive info with which to work with."

Harold: "I hope she has something as knowing something and having the concrete proof thereof are 2 totally seperate things."

Katherine: "The thing is to try and get Reb to co-operate without letting her know our suspicions about Cynthia Leach and Terry Walters."

Harold looks as if deep in thought

Meanwhile in Reb and Noeline's cell

Reb: "Hey Burke, you still awake."

Noeline: "Yeah I am now thanks to you, what do you want now."

Reb: "Listen Noeline, I really wanted to kill that bitch, more than anything, but I just could'nt do it somehow and not only for the reason that I'd spend the rest of my life in this hellhole because of it."

Noeline: "Yeah you're right I could'nt to it neither, but we had better watch our backs cos the rotton bitch is gunning for us for sure now, even if we had killed her who's to say they would just give us another screw just like her."

Reb: "Yeah, there's plenty of ugly bitch screws like her, Ill have a chat to Kathy tomorrow about it, in the meantime we better look out for one another, especially when Winter gets out the pound she'll be out for blood, she tried to kill me at Wentworth while the freak just stood there and watched."

Noeline: "Yeah, makes me realise old vinegar tits is nothing but a pussy cat after all."

The night has turned to day , Butch, Sassy and Rufus are lying in the exercise yard, Katherine has just arrived at work, Jonathan has also just arrived, the 2 dogs come and give them both a warm welcome

The women are sat at the diningroom for breakfast

Kathy, Dot, Susan, and Reb are sitting together, Margo and Noeline are sat at a table close by

Kathy: "What!!!, you mean to say that bitch had the gall to come into your cell and try and lay into you last night and try and blame Noeline for it."

Reb: "Yeah, but we were waiting for her, and we got her, I tell you Kath I wanted to kill her more than anything but I just could'nt bring myself to do it somehow."

Kathy: "Yeah well, no one messes with me mates like that, I warned her what would happen to her if she ever messed with me mates that first day in the pound, it seems as if she needs another reminder, Im sure as hell gonna give it to her."

Susan: "I overheard one Miss Carter saying to Mr Grant, that the leach was gonna be off for a couple of days, she had to take care of some important business."

Dot: "The place will certainly be more pleasant to be at without her being around."

Reb: "That's the best thing i've heard since I've been at this stinking dump, not having to see her ugly mug or listen to her crap."

Kathy: "Yeah well she'll still get a reminder from me once she gets back, if or whenever it may be, Dot would you please pass me the salt."

In the Kitchen

Susan: "..for a couple of days."

Edwina: "Thank heavens for that, at least now we can get things done in here in peace."

Dot: "I've seen that face many times before and I'm still trying to recover from the initial shock of having seen it for the first time."

All burst out into laughter

Edwina: "Now, now Dot, that was'nt very nice of you."

Dot: Yeah Ed I know, but its true."

Kathy: "Oh hell, the pot on the stove has just boiled over", she runs over to the stove and takes the pot off the stove, "Oh bugger, look at this mess, give us a hand in cleaning all this up Reb."

They clean the mess

Edwina: "Now girls the fun and games are over for now, time to get back to the grindstone again." everyone starts working just then Beverley comes in

Beverley: "Miss Freeman would like to see you now Kean." Reb puts down the knife and accompanies her to Katherine's office

Katherine is sat at the desk, there is a knock on the door

Katherine: "Come in." the door opens and Beverley and Reb come inside

Katherine: "Good morning Reb, please take a seat I won't be long." to Beverley."I should be finished with Reb in about 30 minutes or so."

Beverley: "That's fine, just ring through to reception when you're done and someone will come to take her back to her duties." Beverley then leaves the room

Katherine: "So how are you really doing Reb, have you managed to settle in here as best you can and make friends."

Reb: "Im fine thanks, I've become quite friendly with Kathy, Susan and Dot."

Katherine: "Thats good to hear, now what do you know about all this business with Marie Winter and her friends landing up in solitary yesterday."

Reb: "Nothing, except they found dope in the cells, I guess Winter was so sure of herself that she reckoned the screws would never look there, who knows."

Katherine just looks at Reb: "Yes well, perhaps Marie Winter's being put into solitary is'nt totally unwarranted or undeserved after all, now to the reason I asked to see you today."

Reb: "Have you been able to get in touch with my mum, is she ok."

Katherine: "Your mum appears to be fine, but unfortunately she's too busy to come and see you right now, she told me she may come again next week."

Reb: "Yeah, that's typical Mum for you alright, if that was'nt it why did you want to see me."

Katherine very somberley: "Reb the reason I have called you here is because I have dicussed your situation at Wentworth with my father, the Governor and he has arranged a meeting with the Governor of Wentworth Ann Reynolds."

Reb: "What does he want to see Mrs Reynolds for."

Katherine: "I convinced him that you were telling the truth about what happened at Wentworth, and quite frankly there have been quite a few questionable and inexplicable things happening here too that need some sort of clarification."

Reb: "I know that Mrs Reynolds and Mrs Morris hated the Freak as much as the rest of us and they'd like nothing other than to get the bitch out of there on her ear, the only problem is she always seems to be one step and ahead of everyone and comes out smelling like a rose all the time, ..wait Miss Freeman, there is something we can do, I composed a blackmail letter to keep the freak in line and gave it to the chef Ray Proctor as she was gunning for him too and we used it to keep the Freak in line, maybe you can try get in touch with him."

Katherine: "I certainly will, in fact Ill try straight away." she looks in her phone book and dials the number for Wentworth Detention Centre a woman's voice answers : "Wentworth Detention Centre."

Katherine: "Good morning, could I please speak to Ray Proctor."

Woman: "Im afraid he no longer works here anymore."

Katherine: "Do you perhaps know where I can get in touch with him."

Woman: "Im sorry Madam, we can't release any contact details for any members of the staff."

Katherine: "I see, thanks very much goodbye." to Reb "How odd, it appears as if Ray Proctor is no longer at Wentworth, I was'nt able to get a contact address for him either, Ill go to the Governor's office shortly and try to get him to contact Mrs Reynolds again."

Reb: "I would'nt be surprised if Ferguson managed to arrange something to get him booted out there somehow."

Katherine: "Yes something does appear to be suspicious about the whole thing, I think Ill have to follow this up immediately, Ill send for an officer to come get you." she calls the main office."Hi Jon could you please come take Reb back to her duties, thanks." to Reb:" You know I'd be extremely careful with Marie Winter, Im sure she'll be out for revenge once she's released from solitary, I can't stress how important it is that under no circumstances should you ever be alone."

Reb: "Yeah, thanks for that Miss Freeman." just then Johnathan knocks on the door and enters

Johnathan: "Ive come to take you back to work, could you please just wait for me at the security gate, I'd like to have a quick word with Miss Freeman."

Reb: "Sure, no problem." as she leaves Katherine, "I'll let you know as soon as we find out Reb, I might send for you later or early tomorrow."

Reb: "Sure thing, thanks again." she leaves the room, Johnathan closes the door

Johnathan: "What's up Katherine."

Katherine: "I think we may have found a way to get solid proof that something happened at Wentworth."

Later in the excercise yard Reb, Kathy, Dot, Susan are sitting down talking when suddenly Kathy says to Reb, "Feel like going for a walk, Reb"

Reb: "Sure why not." they get up and walk

Kathy: "So why did Miss Freeman want to see you."

Reb: "Something to do with the Freak at Wentworth, the bitch near killed me and I just remembered a blackmail letter that I had to keep her in line."

Kathy: "So why did'nt you use it at the time, why suddenly remember it now."

Reb: "I goofed up big time when I was there, me and the chef Ray Proctor had the Freak on both our backs and we managed to keep her in line till I blew it by saying that I did'nt give a stuff about anyone and Desmond had it all on tape which she played back for the whole damn prison to hear, when Proctor found about the whole thing, he just told me to get stuffed, naturally I was pissed off and went after Desmond and the Freak came in and I belted her one and that's how I landed up here, she was just waiting to get me sent here and that was her golden opportunity."

Kathy: "Do you still not give a stuff about anyone, I'd hate to think you did'nt really like me and that you were just using me.'

Reb: "Listen Kath, I promise you I do care about you, Susan and Dot, yeah ok maybe I don't really give a stuff for Margo or Noeline because they would knife me in the back if push came to shove, but I know you would never do that to me."

Kathy: "Thats all I wanted to hear, do you want to hear more about what happened when Mum and Dad died

Reb: "Yes, I'd like to hear about it Kath

Kathy: "I'm afraid it's not very pleasant but here goes....

Episode 12

Kathy: "....Are you sure you wanna hear this, Reb."

Reb: "Yes of course I wanna hear it Kath."

14 years earlier - two weeks after Jenny Bates funeral, Kathy and David are staying with their Uncle Phil Bates and his wife Maggie who have 2 children , Jack (13) and Desiree (12), its obvious that they are thoroughly spoilt. David is sharing a room with Jack, Kathy is sharing a room with Desiree, Kathy and Desiree are in their room

Desiree:" Just make sure that you keep your stuff on your side of the room, and don't let me catch you snooping in my drawers."

Kathy: "Oh I would'nt do something like that Desiree, honest."

Desiree: "Just don't forget you're only here because your dad is my dad brother, just because you're here don't make you a member of the family."

Kathy says nothing, she starts to put a few belongings into the drawer

In Jack and David's room, David is admiring the new train set Jack recently got for his birthday, David picks up one of the little trains from the track..

David: "Wow, thats so cool, I really like this train over here", in his excitement he trips over one of Jack's shoes and the train falls out of his hands lands against the wall and one of the wheels fall off."

Jack shouting: "You stupid idiot, I told you not to touch my stuff and now you've gone and touched something and broken it ."

David looking as if he's about to cry: " Sorry Jack, I only wanted to look, my dad was gonna get me one almost like it before.."

Jack: "Yeah, well your dad's not here is he, thats mine and I don't want you touching it, it's bad enough having you in my room without having you touch my things and breaking them as well."

David softly: "Im sorry Ill try fix it for you."

Just then Phil comes to the door and says: "What's going on in here, what's all the shouting about."

Jack: "He picked up my train and nearly broke it, why does he have to be here, Dad."

Phil: "Jack, you already know that David's mum and dad are dead and that they have nowhere else to go except a home for children that don't have a mum or dad."

Jack: "Yeah, well at least he wouldnt be in here, getting on my nerves or breaking my stuff."

Phil: "It's allright Jack, Ill sort this out now", to David, "Go get Kathy, its time we got a few things sorted out as regards to the rules in this house, Ill be waiting for you in the lounge."

David goes to Kathy's and Desiree's room: "Kathy, uncle Phil wants to see us."

Kathy: "Why does he want to see us Davie"

Desiree: "He wants to tell you how to behave, while your living here in our house."

Kathy and David go to the lounge, Phil is waiting for them, he has a big thick leather belt in his hands, he is waving it to and fro, he sees Kathy and David he motions for them to come in the room, they both look fearful

Phil to David "I don't want you touching any of Jack's things again and breaking them, remember you and your sister are only here because your dad was my brother, I don't want any of you giving my kids any problems, do you hear me ??"

David: "Yes uncle Phil."

Phil: "Good, glad to see we understand one another, you obey the rules and you'll be fine , it seems as if your mother and father were too lenient with you and did'nt give you any discipline, but here you'll learn to do as you're told because if you don't you'll feel this on your rear ends." (indicates the belt and hits the sofa with a force, there is a vibration in the room as he hits one of the sofa,"

David and Kathy look on in horror

Phil: "I also expect you to earn your keep whilst you are here, you will both be given household chores to do as my your aunt and I will have our hands full trying to cloth/feed/educate 2 more kids, is that clear."

David and Kathy: "Yes Uncle Phil."

Phil: "Good Kathleen, you can start by asking your aunt Maggie if she needs any help with the dinner, you David can mow the lawn clean the yard and feed the dogs."

Kathy and David leave the room , they look absolutely horrified and terrified

Later on after dinner, Kathy has had to help prepare the meal and wash the dishes by herself, when finished she leaves the kitchen and goes into the lounge,menawhile in the passage David has opened a cabinet and taken a colourful ornament out of the cabinet and is busy admiring it, just then Phil comes out of the lounge and sees David admiring the statue he roars:"Just what do you think you are doing with that in your hands."

David gets such a fright he drops the statue, it breaks into a a hundred pieces: "Im so sorry uncle Phil."

Phil gets a cruel expression on his face: "Not nearly as sorry as your going to be, go wait for me in the room Ill be along shortly."

David: "Oh please uncle Phil it was an accident, I won't touch anything again, please don't hit me."

Phil: "Get upstairs now or it'll be worse." just then Kathy comes out the lounge

Kathy crying: "Davie whats wrong."

Phil to David: "Move it." to Kathy: "Take note of what's about to happen to your brother, he is about to find out exactly what happens when I get angry." he then goes up the stairs , he gets the belt and goes into Jack and David's room, screams of pain are echoing through the house like an unstoppable freight train out of control for quite a while, after what seems an eternity for Kathy, Phil comes out of David's room, his face is flushed but it looks as if he thoroughly enjoyed administering the beating

30 minutes later, Kathy goes up to David and Jack's room,she sees David lying on his stomach crying on the bed, she goes up to him: "Davie, are you allright."

David sobbing: "Kathy , he really hurt me bad, It really hurts everytime I move around."

Kathy tries to hug David, but he winces in sheer agony, she catches a glimpse of his back and the top of his buttocks which are as red as a beetroot, Kathy starts to cry herself, through his agony David is holding onto Kathy for some comfort.

Back to the present

Kath and Reb are walking by themselves, Kathy has just finished with the first part of her story..

Reb: "Bloody hell, Kath what happened to you and David was bad, it must have been hard for you and Davie to have gone from a loving mum and dad to that."

Kathy: "That, Reb was just the beginning, it gets a lot worse believe me, Davie went through much worse of a hell than I did, but just seeing what happened to him is what made me like I am today, you know what gets me the most is poor Davie's in his grave Im stuck in here for at least 2 more years and they're all still living their lives as if nothing ever happened."

Reb: "Don't worry Kath, Ill be there for you, I know did'nt have it as bad as you and Dave,at least me me and Danny, Mum and Dad just acted as if we were in the way, they did'nt beat us or nothing, it was only after Danny got killed in that car accident that Mum and Dad got full of bull and I landed up in reform school."

Just then Terry comes over to them

Terry: "What's wrong with you 2 are you deaf or something, did'nt you hear the bell, get inside now and start getting ready for dinner, or do you want to find yourselves on malingering charges."

Reb and Kathy start to make their way into the main building, Terry follows them inside

Meanwhile in Katherine's office

Katherine: "Good afternoon, is this Ray Proctor speaking."

Voice: "No this is Vladi Nikitin speaking, can I help you."

Katherine: "Yes please, its imperative that I get in touch urgently with Ray Proctor, there's something I urgently need to discuss with him"

Vladi: "Im afraid he does'nt live here anymore, he left here about a week ago, I can give you his new address though, if you want, hold on a tic."

Katherine waiting for about 15 seconds: "Right ..right..yes..thank you very much Mr Nikitin, I really appreciate it."

Vladi: "No problem my dear, and please call me Vladi."

Katherine: "Thanks Vladi, I cant tell you how much help you have been to me."

Vladi: "No problem, if you see Ray tell him , "Vladikins" sends his love and wants to see him again soon."

Katherine: "I will do that, thanks again Vladi, Goodbye and take care."

Vladi: "Goodbye to you too my dear and take care of yourself as well."

Katherine hangs up the phone, she is headed for Harolds office, she knocks on the door

Harold: "Come in." Katherine goes inside, Harold is alone

Katherine: "Thank goodness you're alone Dad, guess what I managed to get an address for Ray Proctor, but unfortunately there is no contact number."

Harold: "Dont worry love, Ann Reynolds says she will try to see this Ray Proctor some time today, Its a good thing we decided make a weekend of this, besides I havent seen your Uncle and Aunt Charlie for some time now."

Katherine: "Yeah it funny the way they call one another Charlie, (as in Charles and Charlotte) I know we phone them a lot but it's not the same as seeing them, it would be great to just take a couple of days break, Goodness knows we really need a few days away from this place, its only a pity Jon can't come with us."

Harold: "Dont worry Kath, we'll be back sunday afternoon..." just then there is a knock on the door "Come in"

Cynthia Leach comes inside: "Good day Governor, Miss Freeman, Mrs O'Connell said you wanted to see me when I got here."

Harold: "Yes I did indeed, would you please wait outside for now Miss Leach, I should'nt be much longer."

Cynthia goes outside she is pressing her ear against the door: "Harold putting his finger to his mouth says: "Please don't forget to take care of that matter we discussed earlier Katherine, and please tell Miss Leach she can come in now."

Katherine smiling: "Ill get to it straight away, Governor." she goes to the door Cynthia is standing outside, "The Governor will see you now, Miss Leach."

Cynthia goes inside

Harold: "Please take a seat Miss Leach, there is something I need to discuss with you."

Cynthia sits down looking at Harold in anticipation

A restuarant sign says : "The pleasure parade." Harold and Katherine go inside, they see a woman sitting at a table alone, one of the patron sees them and approaches Harold: "Good evening Sir, do you want a table for 2."

Harold: "Actually it's 3, we have come to meet with a lady called "Ann Reynolds."

Waitron: "Right this way please Sir, you too please Miss." they follow him to Ann's table, once at Ann's table

Harold: "Good evening Mrs Reynolds, Im Harold Freeman and this is My daughter Katherine Freeman, Governor and social worker at Barnhurst Detention Centre respectively."

Ann beaming as she clearly likes Harold: "It's a pleasure to meet you at last Mr Freeman, you too Katherine."

Harold: "No the pleasure's all mine, and please call me Harold."

Ann: "Only if you call me Ann."

Harold: "Of course I would'nt dare call you anything else." they all sit down Harold has ordered a glass of white win, Katherine a glass or red wine, they all sit down and make small talk and have a few laughs to lighten the mood after a few minutes

Harold: "So Ann, what's your personal views about this business between Rebecca Kean and Joan Ferguson, don't tell me what you can prove but rather what your gut instinct is telling you about the matter, like do you believe Rebecca's version of events or this Miss Ferguson's version."

Ann: "Honestly, I think there may be some truth in what Rebecca Kean has said, the only problem is proving this whole jolly business, no matter what happens Joan Ferguson always keeps coming out smelling like a rose, everytime."

Katherine: "Mrs Reynolds, I just know that Reb is telling the truth about this, I mean think about it, she's on her way to solitary, next thing Miss Ferguson is hanging over the rails while she goes and gets help, what could Reb have possibly achieved by throwing her over the stairwell, does'nt the fact that she went to get help say anything to you, I mean no one else was there to witness the event, so Reb couild easily have killed Miss Ferguson and made it look like an accident I mean who's going to believe that Reb could overpower Miss Ferguson, from what I know from Reb's description of the woman she's at least 20 kg heavier and twice her size, but instead she went for help, think about this Miss Reynolds."

Ann: "Katherine, I know what you are saying is right, but like I told your father now, knowing something and proving something are 2 different ball games altogether."

Harold: "I know how you feel, Ann we had a murder committed in the prison, just before Reb Kean arrived at Blackmoor, It was made to appear as an accident, but the police were able to prove foul play, Katherine suspected something and we managed to get the police to list the cause of death as undetermined, instead or murder, two weeks ago Katherine overheard something being discussed in the staffroom."

Ann: "I don't like what I think you are going to tell me, but I think I'd better hear it anyway."

Katherine and Horold then start telling Ann about the conversation Katherine overheard betweem Terry and Cynthia, as well as the trap they want to set

Ann: "The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to believe Rebecca Kean's story now."

Harold: "Ann whatever you do, don't go running into a thing blindly, we know we have to be extremely descreet about this, from what I've heard about Cynthia Leech is that she has some very dangerous friends on the outside of the prison who wont think twice about bumping you off in the middle of the night."

Ann: "Thats what's worrying me the most, also it's strange how both Leech and Ferguson have managed to get away with things for so long." she then tells them about the Marie Winter riot and how at the last minute Marie changed her story implicating Heather Rodgers in orchestrating the riot

Harold: "It certainly seems as if we both have a very pair of very clever and slippery dames to contend with, we are going to have to proceed with the utmost caution if we ever are to get them, preferably at the same time."

Ann: "I could'nt agree more with you, Harold."

Katherine: "Mrs Reynolds, did you manage to locate this Ray Proctor, I believe he and Reb Kean had a blackmail letter to keep Miss Ferguson in line."

Ann: "I found the place where he stays, but he'll only be back tomorrow, it appears as if he left town for a couple of days, I did get the telephone no of the place he is staying though."

Katherine: "Thats great Mrs Reynolds, Dad and I are going to be in Melbourne the whole weekend, we'll keep on phoning tomorrow and will see him as soon as we can."

Ann: "Would you like me to try and arrange it, Id like to be there as well."

Katherine: "Yes that would be great, Ill give you the number for my Uncle Charles Freeman , which is where we will be staying for the next couple of days."

Ann: "That's great, Id like to be rid of that woman once and for all, but Harold it seems as if this Cynthia Leach is even worse than Joan."

Harold: "I think you may be right Ann, she has a tendancy to really ride the prisoners she dislikes and will do her utmost to get them on charges at the slightest provocation, Rebecca Kean has already been to solitary twice in the short time she has been there, both times at Cynthia Leach's hands."

The next day

Marie, Janie and Jenny appear at the door to the recroom, Susan and Kathy are playing chess whilst talking to Reb and Dot, one look at the chessboard shows that if Kathy does not make a certain move on the board she will be checkmated by Susan's next move

Reb: "Yeah look what the cat dragged in, I see it's Winter and her flea circus again, they actually let you out of the pound." Kathy, Dot and Susan laugh other also laugh

Marie: "Why don't you shut your face Kean, before I shut if for you."

Reb: "Yeah Winter, you already tried it the first day I got here remember, and look where you landed up, flat on your back begging for mercy, do you fancy having another go right here, right now."

Marie: "I'll face you anytime of the week Kean." she lunges towards Reb, with reflex reaction Reb gives Marie a hard punch in the kidneys Marie: "You bitch, Ill get you, I swear."

Reb: "Had enough, want some more of the same," looks at Janie and Jenny, "You wanna have a go as well." they all make a move towards Reb

Kathy makes a move on the chess board, it's not the move she should have made to avoid being checkmated on Susan's next move

Susan: "Check and mate."

Kathy looking at the chessboard shaking her head: "Oh bloody hell, not again!!,"gets up from the chair with lightning speed and faces Marie, Jenny, Janie and indicates the chessboard:" Look what has happened to me, look what you've gone and done Winter, because you can't keep your big trap shut for more than 5 seconds everytime you enter a room, and you and your "friends" make trouble wherever you go, your ugly foghorn voice made me lose concentration and lose the game, now why don't you and those two galars with you (indicates Jenny and Janie) be good little girls and vanish in the direction you all came from so we can go back to having some peace and quiet in here."

Marie: "Yeah well its not over yet, Ill get you both you and Kean, Bates for what you did, I can promise you."

Kathy: "Why I'm so scared now Winter, tell me how do you plan on doing it, get your 2 "mates here" plus another couple of heavies to corner me while your friendly bitch screw Leach looks on??" Kathy gets the same look on her face the day Marie and her friends attacked Reb in her cell, Kathy says to an extra: "Keep knit for a screw coming." to Marie: "Tell you what Winter, Ill let you and both your friends take a shot at me right here, right now, how does that sound, 3 against 1 with you all taking the first swing."

Marie, Janie, Jenny all charge Kathy, all land flat on their backs in quick succession before they have even finished taking their best shot simultanoeusly at Kathy.

Kathy: "Get up, Winter." all slowly rise to their feet, "you have 5 seconds to get the hell out of here now, before you really get it, and Im sure I won't have to do it alone though I can if I have to."

Marie, Jenny, Janie all stumble to the door: "Well it ain't over yet, you bitches." they then quicky vanish from the doorway as Kathy is making a step towards them

Kathy: "Now that they've gone, we can get back to having some peace and quiet in here, how rude of Winter and come in here and interrupt us and make trouble the moment she gets out of the hole." all laugh as Kathy is very funny when she is in this type of mood

Another chess game is starting, Dot excuses herself from the table and goes to watch the telly

Reb: "I heard the Leach is back on duty."

Kathy: "Yeah, and we're still gonna have to sort her out sometime today, Im gonna ride her when she shows up till she's ready to really have a go at me, where's Noeline and Margo."

Reb: "They're busy trying to sell the stuff we nicked out of Winter's cell, the day they landed in the pound."

Just then Margo and Noeline, come into the recroom

Margo: "Geez what's up with Winter, Janie and Jenny, we walked past them on the way in here and they all seemed to be in pain, when I asked Marie what was wrong, she told me to rack off and mind me own business."

Reb: "They charged me and I got Winter in the guts, then when Turner and Tyler came to all have a go at me, Kathy stepped in and they all charged her at the same time, but landed flat on their backs."

Kathy: "Winter was temporarily on the position she is best suited to, with her trap shut."

Noeline: "Yeah, we'll she won't keep her trap shut long enough, I can tell you."

Reb: "Never mind that now, did you manage to peddle the stuff, where's the dough, to Noeline" Keep knit for a screw coming"

Margo: "We managed to get rid of all of it, here's the dough", she moves towards Reb and hands her the proceeds under the table

Kathy: "Why, just because I asked you how your day off was yesterday, and told you how our day was yesterday with you being off duty, what's so insolent about that." all burst into laughter (it's more the way Kathy says it that funny than the actual thing being said) Susan is especially laughing hard and seems unstoppable

Cynthia roaring: "That's enough, you can all go on cleaning duties right now, I want this room so spotless that I can see my reflection on the floor and so I can put on a white glove and not find a speck of dust in it, you will not go for lock up until it's clean by my standards, even if were up all the night," Bates, Kean, Short, you can all get mops and buckets right now, you will scrub that toilet stall until its sparkling as well as scrubbing the corridors with a scrubbing brush, get moving."

Kathy indicates that everyone do as Cynthia says, on the way to get the buckets

Reb: "So everything is going with the plan, we corner the bitch and we give her a taste of her own medicine, she'll never touch me again."

Kathy: "Yeah, Ill have her so scared she'll jump at her own shadow in the dark, you should have seen her ugly face when she came to the pound to lay into me and it backfired on her."

Reb: "Yeah, even uglier than it is now im sure, geez hope I don't get nightmare's Kath."

Kathy: "Don't worry, you wont, not while I'm still here, eh bloody hell, the leach is coming make as if you're scrubbing the floor, Suze you help her, Ill make as if Im doing the stalls."

Cynthia comes in :"You know Kean being in that position really suits you, come to think of it, it suits you as well, Short."

Kathy goes to the sink and puts water in the bucket, she starts humming a tune, Cynthia is looking more enraged by the second

Cynthia: "Shut up Bates, when you work I expect you to be quiet, the only voice I want to hear is my own."

Kathy: "That's all we ever hear when you are present in the room anyway, Miss Leach, so what differnce does it make if I want a little music to go in tune in tune with your voice." Susan bursts out laughing, Kathy and Reb keep a straight face

Cynthia: "Get up Short, you're going to solitary."

Kathy: "Susan's not going anywhere, screw, neither is no one else for that matter."

Cynthia is upon Kathy in a flash: "Your insolence has just landed you a 48 hour strech in solitary, get moving."

Kathy: "Now.!" , Reb picks up the bucket and throws the dirty water all over Cynthia's skirt, as Cynthia is looking in sheer rage and about to attack Reb, Kathy has already punched Cynthia's lights out, as Cynthia is on the floor, she says to Susan, "Keep knit, the screw's gonna get it." Kathy jumps on Cynthia and has her neck in another choke hold, Cynthia looks scared

Reb: "Tell me you ugly bitch screw, how does it feel to be on the receiving end for a change." she then goes over to Cynthia and starts kicking her in the groin and legs

Cynthia: "Let me up, let me up."

Kathy: "I told you screw, what would happen if you attacked my friends, what I would do to you, and I meant it, she delivers a few painful blows to Cynthia's kidneys, "Have you had enough yet, screw, tell me will you ever try what you tried the other night ever again."

Cynthia: "No, I won't."

Kathy: "Ok screw, I believe you mean it, tell you what the conditions are you lets us all go back to our cells and get a good nights rest, when you go back to the recroom you will announce that all go back to their cells, if I hear anything else than what I have told you to say, Ill tell the women I had you flat on your back, and you'll be a laughing stock in here for ever, got it, screw.!!

Cynthia: "Yes let me up."

Kathy: "Now don't forget to clean your skirt its gonna look like you pissed your pants, All laugh except Cynthia, meanwhile Jonathan has come in: "Is anything wrong here Miss Leach."

Cynthia: "No its just an accident, ill go to the staffroom to change , Kean, Bates, Short clean up this mess on the floor now, after they've finished would you please take them back to their cells Mr Grant, its lock up time I gave all the women in the recroom extra cleaning duties as punishment for insolence, but Im sure they've learned their lesson now, Ill will take my break now, Ill be back on duty in 30 minutes time in one of the other blocks, that's if you don't mind patrolling this block."she storms out the room in sheer rage

Jonathan: "You better get to it girls, lock up should have been 30 minutes ago"

Reb, Kathy and Susan quickly mop up the mess and are back in their cells for lockup in 15 minutes as Jonathan has gone to the recroom noticed it clean and said they can all go to their cells

Dot: "Goodness young man, thank heavens you came when you did, I thought I was going to be here all night with the mood Miss Leach was in earlier."

Meanwhile Reb has taken the money she hid in a secret place, Ill square up with you in the cells Burke, Ill give you yours tomorrow Gaffney

Jonathan: "Well its all over now, best get you back to your cell, they all go back to their cells."

Reb: "Night Kath, see you in the morning, G'nite Susan and Dot."

All are in their respective dorms changed and waiting for lights out which happen 5 minutes later

Noeline: So what happened."

Reb: Lets just say we fixed the leach for now, she wont be hassling her, geez Noeline you shoud have see her face she was scared senseless, I don't think she'll dare come in here now

Her face is puple with pure hate and anger however she quickly composes herself and makes her way to the other cell block she has to patrol."

Episode 13

Cynthia walks along the corridor when suddenly she gets another flashback to the past

15 years earlier

An inmate with a slight resemblance to Reb Kean approaches Cynthia as she doing her rounds, shë seems in a hurry and nearly knocks Cynthia over, the inmate's name is Penny Lane

Penny: "Miss Leach, you've gotta come quick, there something wrong with Edith, I think she's having another one of her bad turns."

Cynthia:"Slow down Penny, where is Edith now."

Penny: "In her cell, lying on the bed."

Cynthia: "Right we better get going, well come along Girl, I might need a hand y'know." they both run to Edith's cell, Edith is lying on the floor in agony, "OMG, you better go get the doctor now Penny, Ill see what I can do for Edith," Cynthia picks Edith from the floor, "Don't worry Edith, everything's going to be all right, the doctors on his way, just hang in there."

Cynthia unlocks one of the cells and walks in

Cynthia: "Winter, wake up, you and I have things to discuss."

Margo: "Marie, whats going on, what are you doing in here, Miss Leach."

Cynthia: "Shut up Gaffney, I came here to talk to Winter, not you, hold on maybe you can be in this after all."

Marie: "Is there something we can do for you Miss Leach."

Cynthia: "Oh Winter, you're so right there's something you can do for me, and you will do for me, by this time tomorrow night, I want it so that both Kean and Bates end up in solitary."

Marie: "Trust me there's nothin I'd like more than to see those 2 bitches spend some time in the pound, only thing is Bates is like a barracuda when she gets going, you can't lay a finger on her without coppin one hell of a beating in the process."

Cynthia: "Come now Winter, surely you can give me a better answer than that, I mean I'm the one that decided you were going to be top dog, I can just as easily replace you with someone that can do the job, besides you don't have get in a fight with them, you just have to wait for the right moment and make it appear as if they attacked you for no reason, or make it look as if they wrecked something, its just a matter of careful planning and timing."

Marie: "Yeah, and with a screw to witness the whole thing, what could go wrong."

Cynthia: "Good I knew a bit of friendly persuasion would help you see things my way, " she leaves the cell and locks it and mutters under her breath, "Yes, Gaffney I always knew you had no backbone or self control and would sell your own mother to get one last fix, but fortunately I can use your own misgivings to my own advantage."

Reb and Noeline are walking along the corridor, Kathy, Dot and Susan are behind them

Noeline comes into the kitchen for a pick up

Noeline passes Reb and whispers: "You better watch your back, I notice Winter and Margo are thick as thieves again."

Reb: "Yeah, I sorta noticed when they were sitting together this morning, thanks I will." "goes over to Kathy, "Listen Kath I think Winter's up to one of her lousy schemes again, we better watch our backs.

Reb: "Yeah, well you know we did'nt do it you fat lousy, ugly bitch."

Terry: "SHUT UP Kean, you'll do as Miss Leach says right now or you'll get 48 hours more on top of the 48 hours you've already got."
